Psychiatric Practice to Open Locally

A new psychiatric practice will open locally Nov 6. At Compassion Mental Health Services, located in Suite 304 of the Mayzon Health Center, 3124 Wilmington Road, Dr. Santiago Almanzar will treat both children and adults and will be treating the dual diagnosis of mental health and drug and alcohol addiction.

Compassion Mental Health Services is a comprehensive, patient-centered practice that provides a full range of behavioral health services for children, adolescents, adults and families. It originated in response to the shortage of mental health services in western Pennsylvania, as well as to concerns about the proliferation of untreated mental health conditions, the epidemic of opioid addiction and overdose, and increasing suicide rates in our communities.

It offers substance abuse counseling and medication assisted treatment to help our clients to overcome their struggles and addictions.
